Abstract (en)

Contrasts public festivals and theatrical events in Pisa during the reign of Pietro Leopoldo, grand duke of Lorraine, with those sponsored previously under the Medici: under Pietro Leopoldo, the quantity and the style of festivals diminished notably. Notes differences in architectural taste and the less important role played by architects in Tuscany under Lorraine patronage.
