Describes the street-by-street history of the Frederiksberg quarter of Copenhagen ca.1650-1950, from its earliest time as an agricultural suburb outside the ramparts until its integration as an urban area within greater Copenhagen. Includes descriptions of Ladegaarden, Frederiksberg Castle and gardens, Frederiksberg Church, the modern villa quarter, Codanhus, Radiohuset, Frederiksberg Town Hall, etc.
