Abstract (en)
The artist presents research that investigates the integration of sound and image through the use of rule-system technology, with two results. First, three predetermined computer-graphic animations were created by using traditional computer-graphic techniques. Second, a computer system was created that uses rule-system technology to assist in the automatic translation of sound to image, based upon theoretical and emotional characteristics of music. This process resulted in the automatic generation of two animations.
