Abstract (en)

Discusses the structure in Ironbridge which was erected in 1779. Hodson suggests the bridge parts were cast at the Coalbrookdale Upper Works and, utilizing the knowledge he gained in constructing a model of the bridge for the Museum of Iron in Coalbrookdale, infers the method of assembly of the actual bridge.
