Abstract (en)

Account of a book of photographs of China by the German diplomat Alfons Mumm von Schwarzenstein, entitled Ein Tagebuch in Bildern, published privately ca.1902; the photographs were taken by Mumm, with some taken under his direction by his valet Anton Goebel, who was responsible for developing and printing; some earlier photographs are also included.
