Discusses three watercolors from the National Gallery of Ireland (Dublin) which incorporate Medieval themes and Celtic motifs: Daniel Maclise's The Marriage of Strongbow and Aoife ca.1854, Michael Healy's S. Patrick Lighting the Paschal Fire on the Hill of Slane ca.1914, and Frederick William Burton's The Meeting on the Turret Stairs 1864.
