Abstract (en)

First of four volumes produced by the Cork Archaeological Survey. Entries are divided into 45 sections with over 100 different archaeological classifications. Sections follow a broadly chronological scheme and are prefaced by a brief introduction. Each entry has locational information, site classification and a short description of the monument. The text is accompanied by topographical, distribution, index and location maps. Sites post-dating AD 1700 were included in the survey on a selective basis.
