A series of maps of land in Buckinghamshire drawn by Erasmus Williams and accompanied by detailed documentation, ca.1590 (Oxford, New College), are interpreted as reflecting contemporary attitudes to the Crown, and the nature of surveying and mapmaking in late 16th c. Oxford.
