Abstract (en)

Examines the chronology of the capitals, ca.1096-1100, together with comparative manuscript illuminations, assessing their relationship and drawing attention to issues which bear upon the interpretation of the carvings. Argues for a clear distinction to be maintained between sources and analogues.
