Proposes new identifications, on stylistic grounds, for the two paintings that Seiter is recorded to have painted for Cosimo III de' Medici: a S. John the Baptist (Florence, Palazzo Pitti, storage) and a Mater dolorosa (Florence, S. Giovanni di Dio), previously attributed to Giovanni Battista Lenardi.
