Identifies as the source for Piranesi's drawing of a Roman frieze with a figure of Victory and trophies (New York, Pierpont Morgan Library) the frieze from the Palace of the Emperor Domitian, built on the Palatine Hill in Rome. Piranesi's drawing however displays some discrepancies from what is supposed to be the original model, and the question remains whether the study is of a different, lost original, or an adaptation of a known part of the Domitianic frieze.
