Excavations at the farm of Borg on Vestvågøy Island, Northern Norway, yielded an imported assemblage of glass, ca.550-1000, including vessel types, ornamentation, and compositions which are rare or even unknown elsewhere. A programme of chemical analyses has augmented typological study, and led to new insights into the manufacture and exchange of glass in early medieval North West Europe.
