Abstract (en)

Suggests that the portrait of Chaucer in the manuscript of Thomas Hoccleve's Regiment of princes (Rosenbach Library, Philadelphia, MS 1083/30), was an 18th c. insertion probably copied directly from the Harley portrait (London, British Library, MS Harley 4866).
