Analyzes the description by John Breval (Remarks on several parts of Europe, v. I, 1738) on the discovery (early 18th c.), and dispersion of the Brescello hoard of Roman coins into Venetian collections, especially that of Gian Domenico Tiepolo (1650-1730).
