Abstract (en)

Describes the building phases and decoration of the church of S. Giuseppe dei Falegnami, Cesena, 17th-18th cs., and discusses the renovation project (1751-1754) for which Giovanni Carlo Galli Bibiena designed the main altar and stucco decoration. (The stuccoist was Giambattista Canepa.) Galli Bibiena's altar, however, was never built. Appendix: documents, 1739-1782.
