Reports on excavations undertaken (as part of the Farfa Project of the British School at Rome) inside the church (burials of unclear date, late Medieval and early modern) and outside it; the latter revealed evidence of early Medieval wooden structures and of stone walls probably associated with monastic ownership of the site and the construction of the church dedicated to S. Donato, 776-817. Notes that pottery finds indicate the presence of a settlement between the late 6th and 8th cs., with no evidence of a villa. Also describes the landscape archaeology of the San Martino zone of the Sabine area.
