Abstract (en)
Relates the sickle found in the Lombard tomb in Piazza dei Miracoli, Pisa, to weaponry prescribed by late antique sources on tactics for naval battles; and examines archival data concerning Lombard tombs in Arezzo, as well as tombs and grave goods found at Roccastrada-Pescaia and Sutri; proposes that a group of personal ornaments in the British Museum came from Sutri.
