On Baillie Scott's Manxman upright piano 1896-1902 as an expression of English Arts and Crafts design. The Manxman is an upright piano which, when not in use, appears to be a horizontal cupboard or chest on stand with two doors. Special attention given to an 1897 Manxman acquired by the Art Institute of Chicago in 1985.
