Dates Benaglio's Madonna and Child (Rochester, Memorial Art Gallery) to ca.1465-1472 on the basis of comparison with other works by the artist and by his contemporaries. Shows the importance of Paduan art in his work of this period, and discusses the relationship between his paintings and those attributed to Lorenzo Canozi da Lendinara, who himself was strongly influenced by Piero della Francesca.
