Abstract (en)
Seeks to define the mindset and tactics of individuals or groups, whether politically conservative or progressive, who attempt to censor art in the United States. Identifies such characteristics as their insistence on a single interpretation of a work of art, their literal approach to the interpretation of art, their paternalistic attitude toward art and other viewers, and their wish to impose their own sense of morality on to the entire public.
