Presents a Louis XV armoire of ca.1755. The piece is veneered on oak with bois satiné inlaid with end-cut kingwood bordered with amaranth, and has gilt bronze mounts. Concentrates on its provenance which includes Baron Edmund de Rothschild and Eustache Bonnemet. Suggests it is highly likely the piece was commissioned by Simon-Philippe Poirier and supplied by him to Bonnemet.
