Considers the impact of iconoclasm on religious imagery, the cults of the Bound Christ (Rood), and of S. Armel, and the iconography, provenance and survival of the Mostyn Christ (now in Bangor Cathedral), and the two tables representing the Bound Rood (or Bound Christ) and S. Armel, now in Whitton church, Middlesex [SS. Philip and James, London], and S. Mary's church, Highgate, London, respectively.
