Abstract (en)
Records the discovery and scientific examination of the disc found with other grave goods of a young female. Metallurgical evidence indicates that it is of Anglo-Saxon origin, and together with scientific, excavation and typological evidence can be assigned to the mid-7th c. Suggests that the punch-decorated disc represents part of an old relic box re-used as a waist pendant.
