Analyse d'une bractéate trouvée dans l'île de Gotland et conservé à Visby (Gotlands Fornsal) représentant un roi entouré de fleurs de lys et portant l'inscription Iohannes Rex. Il s'agit très probablement d'une effigie du roi suédois Johan Sverkersson, qui régna de 1216 à 1222. La bractéate avait une fonction décorative ou honorifique mais se servait en aucun cas de monnaie
