Abstract (en)

Account of the Four Evangelists statues created in the 1820s for the Rotenberg Chapel, Stuttgart. John was the work of J.H. Dannecker. Luke was done by Theodor Wagner with oversight by Bertel Thorvaldsen. Bozzetti for Matthew and Mark were created by Thorvaldsen who supervised their full-size modelling by Johann Leeb and Johann Nepomuk Zwerger respectively.
