Abstract (en)

Publication accompanying an exhibition of installation works created by artists Spasova, Tolaas, Torstensson and Wretman, designed to respond to the restored 18th c. museum of classical sculpture in Stockholm. Consists mainly of three essays: Sven-Olov Wallenstein on the concept of the sublime; Ian Wiséhn on the series of medals struck to commemorate notable events in the reign of Gustavus III; and Elisabeth Haitto on the recent restoration to its 1792 appearance of Gustavus III's museum of classical sculpture, and on the 1993 site-specific installations.
