Reviews the commentary volume recently published by Faksimile Verlag Luzern in conjunction with a reproduction of the Book of Kells (Dublin, Trinity College, Library, MS 58). The commentary volume is a collection of essays on various aspects of the 8th-9th c. manuscript--thought to have been created at Kells or Iona--and its history.
