Draws attention to some Meissen porcelain figurines ca.1715-1720 which were copied from, or inspired by, 17th c. Chinese carved soapstone figures which were then in Augustus the Strong's Japanisches Palais in Dresden (now Staatliches Museum für Völkerkunde).
