Abstract (en)

Survey of the Victorian artist's life and work, in relation to two paintings by her (Eos and The Undiscovered Country) in the collection of the Columbia (SC) Museum of Art. Traces the influence of Pre-Raphaelitism on her art, suggesting that it was due to her uncle, John Roddam Spencer-Stanhope.
