Abstract (en)

Documents the presence of Jean Baptiste Greuze's painting Boy with a Dog (London, Wallace Collection) in the collection of Jeanne Bécu, Comtesse Du Barry (1774-1777) and, later, that of Charles-Nicolas Ducloz-Dufresnoy (until 1795). Bailey notes that the painting should be dated 1757, not ca.1760.
