Publishes a purple glass bowl with zig-zag patterns made of yellow and blue trails which was excavated in 1987 from a Carpathian barrow culture cemetery in Pilipi (Kiev, National Historical Museum of the Ukraine). Compares it to a strikingly similar bowl excavated in 1935 at Nizhni Strutin (Lviv, State Historical Museum). Suggests the bowls date from the 4th c., and that they were made by craftsmen employed in one of the provincial workshops of the eastern Roman Empire.
