Abstract (en)

Reports on a CASVA Curatorial/Conservation Colloquy held 23-24 May 1994 at the National Gallery of Art (Washington) to study two versions of the Holy Family on the Steps (Cleveland Museum of Art and National Gallery of Art). At the colloquy there was general agreement on matters of style and merit with regard to the Cleveland picture. Participants also concurred that the Washington Holy Family on the Steps is a painting of high quality in its own right, is a version of the Cleveland picture, and is possibly from Poussin's studio.
