Publishes a drawing of John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness, signed by Bartholomäus Strobel the younger and dated 1613 (Oxford, Ashmolean Museum), and argues that the work is a copy after a lost painting by Spranger which is documented in the collection of Strobel at this time. Relates two drawings by Peter Schmid von Lichtenberg to the Strobel drawing and to the Spranger original, and suggests that this connection was one route by which the Prague mannerism of Spranger and his contemporaries was introduced into the art of Silesia.
