Abstract (en)

On the controversial traveling exhibition, Great French paintings from Cézanne to Matisse, currently at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto, which features paintings from the Barnes Collection in Merion. Includes excerpts from Violette de Mazia's account of the Foundation and its philosophy. Notes that it was intended as an educational institution, not a museum, and that the exhibition conflicts with the vision of the founder, Albert C. Barnes.
