Describes and catalogues 14 drawings in the collection of the Buckinghamshire house, which consist of maps, plans and elevations of the estate, dated 1752 and attributed to the French architect Jolivet. The drawings shed light not only on Jolivet's heretofore little-understood activity in England, but also on the architectural patronage of Francis Dashwood. Also explores Jolivet's professional relationship with the Italian architect G.N. Servandoni, active in England from 1747-1751.
