Abstract (en)

On the Chicago architectural dynasty of Holabird and Roche (established in the 1880s), which became Holabird and Root in 1928 following the death of Martin Roche. Holabird and Root is still active today, however Bruegmann covers the firm only until ca.1940. The firm specialized in commercial architecture.
