Discusses the history, architecture and decoration of the church of S. Agata in Quartu Sant'Elena (Sardinia) in the light of excavations and restoration (in progress, 1994). Affirms that the church was built mid-12th c. and rebuilt, late 13th c. and 1631-1702. Includes an inventory (1884) of the church furnishings (now largely dispersed), a restoration report and technical analyses.
