Abstract (en)

Looks at 17th c. European ornamental ironwork, focusing on a gate (Trieste, S. Giusto) previously attributed to Lubiana, Venice and Nuremburg. (The gate was commissioned in 1650.) Concludes that not enough evidence exists to determine its place of manufacture. Appendix: documents, 1638-1645.
