Surveys Francesco di Jacopo's documented activity from 1610 to his death in 1641, providing new information based on archival research; and assembles a group of paintings around a nucleus of four works in the Empoli area, including the signed and dated Crucifixion with Saints, 1619 (Pantaneto, S. Giovanni Battista), recently published by Rosanna Caterina Proto Pisani.
