Pistelli reconstructs the history of the organization of a course on photography at the Istituto d'arte of Florence, beginning 1936; Caputo Calloud provides an account (based on documents) of the Società fotografica italiana, founded in Florence in 1889 and dissolved in 1915, and reports that its equipment and documents were inherited by the Istituto d'arte in 1937; illustrates selections from the photographic collection of the Istituto d'arte, mainly works of Renzo Maggini from the 1950s.
