On the history (6th-20th cs.), architecture (rebuilt in the 9th, 12th and 20th cs.) and art of the church and convent of S. Maria delle Grazie (also called the Santuario della Mentorella), Guadagnolo. The church contains a wooden sculpture (11th or 12th c.) of the Madonna and Child. In 1661 the church was discovered in ruins by Athanasius Kircher, who had it restored.
