On the history and architecture of a fountain by Domenico Fontana in the cloister adjacent to the church of the SS. Apostoli, Rome. The cloister was originally part of a Franciscan convent on the site, and the fountain was one element in a program of architectural improvements commissioned (1590) by Sixtus V for the religious institute.
