Abstract (en)
The altarpiece (a triptych) was made for the principal church in Bad Wildungen in 1403. It features a central scene depicting Golgatha. The deterioration of the altarpiece has accelerated in recent years. Measurements have been made of the church climate and on the surface of the altarpiece; on the basis of these results suggestions are made for the improvement of the ambient conditions.
