Tribute to Parker concentrating on his contributions to the field of drawing connoisseurship and history during his years as keeper at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. This article is prompted by the exhibition Sir Karl Parker (1895-1992): a centenary celebration at the Ashmolean (16 May-24 Sept 1995).
