Describes the analysis and treatment of a painted wood armchair made 1870 by one John Luker for a Masonic lodge in Vinton County, OH (Lexington, MA, Museum of Our National Heritage). The chair is part of a surviving suite which includes two tall pillars and two candle stands. Buck also discusses the Masonic symbols depicted on the chair.
