Monograph on the architect of large-scale production facilities for the Ford Motor Company, based on the records of his firm; the reviewer finds that the chronological information and high-quality photographs of Kahn's oeuvre are a helpful addition to the literature on factory design, but that the author fails to provide historical perspective or to pursue the avenues of social criticism indicated in Giancarlo Consonni's introduction.
