Abstract (en)

Study of 18th c. painting in Monza, based on archival evidence. Reconstructs the oeuvre of G.B. Gariboldi, presenting paintings and frescoes by him in various churches and in the Villa Torneamento; also discusses quadratura painters, noting the existence of a school, and focusing on Francesco Antonio Bonacina and his association with Gariboldi.
