Publishes an annotated list of silver, gold and silver-gilt items which have appeared before the committee which advises Britain's Heritage Secretary on the export of works of art. These are: 1) 67 examples of English silver and gold, 13th c. to 1906; 2) 11 examples of Scottish silver, mid-16th c. to 1746; and 3) 13 examples of Continental silver, ca.1180-1889. Of these 91 items, 54.5 have been saved for the nation, 32.5 have gone abroad, three have been retained in Britain because a valid offer to purchase was refused, and one was withdrawn before the period of delay had expired.
