Abstract (en)
Discusses the small jugs of the later 14th and 15th cs., found with great frequency in Yorkshire and Humberside, and recommends that in future they should be referred to as Humber ware drinking jugs, unless the specific manufacturing source is known. Includes a note on the mainly 15th c. coins from the Ryther hoard (near Selby) found in one of these jugs, deposited ca.1486-1487.
