Abstract (en)

Discusses two important events for silver connoisseurs in Britain. First, the Nov 1996 inauguration of the new Silver Gallery at the Victoria and Albert Museum (London). Second, an announcement in June 1996 that the Gilbert Collection of gold, silver, pietre dure and micro-mosaics will be permanently housed and opened to the public at Somerset House (London).
